Accra – The National Nasara Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Aziz Haruna Futa has been inaugurated as a member of the governing council of the Ghana Immigration Service.

He was among some 13 members who were sworn in at a ceremony in Accra on Thursday by the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery.

Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa in an interview expressed his gratitude to the president, Nana Akufo Addo, and the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the opportunity.

He said that the elevation to the position of a President’s representative on the governing council for GIS was a motivation to work hard.

“I will play my part to ensure that I will support the immigration service in whatever way I can,” he said.

He noted that such a rare opportunity for a Zongo youth to serve on the governing council of a security agency would not be wasted.
