King Salman Prays For Dead Brother
RIYADH- Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on Tuesday joined a Muslim congregation at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh to hold funeral prayers for his brother, Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
Prince Mutaib bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud was reported dead on Monday by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) which cited a statement from the Royal Court.
Prince Mutaib, a senior member of the royal family was born in Riyadh in 1931.
He was previously Governor of Makkah Province between 1958 and 1961 and after that held various other administrative positions.
The Octogenarian was made Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs in 1980, a post he held until 2009.
