Masjid Nabawi receives 5.4 million worshippers in second week of 2025
Madina, Saudi Arabia: The Prophet’s Mosque, Masjid Nabawi, has received 5,475,443 worshippers last week, the Saudi authorities have indicated.
These worshippers were catered to by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, offering extensive services to support and assist worshippers and visitors.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, 644,670 visitors during the week greeted Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his two companions, while 376,765 worshippers performed prayers in the Holy Rawdah.
Furthermore, 31,739 individuals from diverse nationalities benefitted from translation services. Field operations involved 24,053 litres of disinfectant for sterilisation and disinfection activities.
“Moreover, 1,480 tonnes of Zamzam water were consumed, and 152 samples were collected for testing and analysis. The authority also distributed 136,283 Iftar meals, ensuring access to food for those breaking their fast,” the report highlighted.
