Accra: The Ghana Hajj Board has released the flight schedule for the 2024 Hajj, with the first flight set to depart Ghana on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

Like in recent years, the Hajj Board intends to airlift pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in two phases.

Four flights during the first phase to airlift 1,700 pilgrims from Tamale in the Northern Region from May 28 to May 31.

In the second phase, five flights are to carry 2,125 pilgrims from Accra, the capital of Ghana, from June 2 to June 6, 2024.

In a statement released by the Pilgrim Affairs Office of Ghana, the Executive Secretary of the Ghana Hajj Board called for cooperation with Hajj authorities and asked prospective pilgrims to contact their accredited agents for further details on the flight schedule.

The statement assured pilgrims of adequate preparation and advanced security arrangements to guarantee a safe and comfortable Hajj experience for would-be pilgrims.

“The provision of two meals a day, total medical care, comfortable hotel accommodation, and not forgetting transportation in Saudi Arabia are part of the package awaiting pilgrims, the Executive Secretary said.

The Ghana Hajj Board also indicated that a team of Islamic clerics will give the necessary spiritual guidance to the pilgrims on the field and at orientation programmes to educate prospective pilgrims about Hajj.
