Imam of Ghana Police Mosque promoted

Accra -The Imam of the Ghana Police Mosque Cantonment, Abdur Rahim Hussein has been promoted from Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Superintendent of Police (SUPOL)

The Imam was among 22,155 officers who were promoted based on administrative requirements subject to fulfilling provisions in Regulation 37 of the Police Service Regulations 2012 (C.I. 76).

There were eight Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP), who were been promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCOP) with one Superintendent of Police promoted to Chief Superintendent of Police.

Some seven Deputy Superintendents of Police were promoted to the rank of Superintendents while 114 Assistant Superintendents of Police had been promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police.

The Service also had 243 Inspectors promoted to the rank of Chief Inspectors; 719 Sergeants promoted to the rank of Inspectors; 1,020 Corporals promoted to the rank of Sergeants; 34 Lance Corporals promoted to the rank of Corporals and nine Constables promoted to the rank of Lance Corporals.
