National Mosque of Ghana holds 2026 Adhan competition on February 28

Accra: The National Mosque of Ghana is set to hold the fourth edition of the 2026 General Adhan Competition on February 28, 2026.

The competition is geared towards maintaining the Muslim culture and traditions while making the Muslim call to prayer (Adhan) a toast of the Muslim youth.

About 40 shortlisted participants from every region will compete at the national mosque.

Winners of the competition would receive a cash prize of GHS 5,000 for first place, GHS 3,000 for second place and GHS 2,000 for third place.

According to the organisers, the competition was open to individuals between the ages of 16 and 30 years resident in Ghana.

Participants are required to submit a maximum 3-minute Adhan recording before a February 24 deadline.

The event is supported by Jil-Al Quran, Hudai Tiwnkli International Senior High School (TINASCO), Qatar Charity and Hudai Foundation.
