A B A Fuseini joins Ghana Hajj taskforce as head of corporate affairs

Accra: Alhaji Alhassan Bashir Fuseini, the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Sagnarigu, has been appointed as the Head of Corporate Affairs for the Ghana Hajj Taskforce.

The former night editor with the Daily Graphic newspaper will oversee communications related to the Hajj pilgrimage.

He will be responsible for managing the taskforce’s public relations and ensuring effective communication with prospective pilgrims and stakeholders.

The taskforce announced his appointment via a Facebook post on Wednesday.

His appointment aims to enhance the dissemination of information and improve the overall coordination of Hajj-related activities in Ghana.

A B A Fuseini was the former deputy Northern Regional Minister and a member of the seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana, representing the Sagnarigu constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress.

During the 2023 NDC primaries, Fuseini lost the election to Attah Issah with 333 votes after the delegates gave him 801 votes.

The Ghana Hajj Taskforce is committed to providing efficient services to pilgrims, and the inclusion of experienced individuals like Alhaji Fuseini is expected to contribute significantly to achieving this goal.

Born on February 2, 1956, Alhaji Fuseini hails from Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana and had his secondary education at Yendi Secondary School and T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School, Kumasi.

He earned his first degree at the University of Ghana, after which he entered the University of Essex, UK, obtaining a master’s degree in Human Rights in 1993.

He also holds a postgraduate diploma from the International Institute of Journalism, Berlin.
