Accra: The leadership of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana has paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu, to express condolences over the passing of his wife, Hajia Rahmatu Tahweeh.

A delegation led by Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, the Ameer (head) and missionary in charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, visited the Fadama residence of the Chief Imam on Saturday to pray for the deceased.

He paid allegiance to the National Chief Imam by saying that the Ahmadiyya fraternity is at his beck and call.

“When I call him my father and we call him our father, it is something that is coming from the deeper recesses of our hearts and not just a mere word of mouth.

“I want to reaffirm the fact that, as far as we, the Ahmadis Muslims in this country, are concerned, we accept him wholeheartedly, we are with him wholeheartedly, and we want to assure him that we are always available at any given time he wants us,” the Ameer said.

He asked Allah to grant the National Imam the fortitude to withstand the shock or difficulty emanating from the situation.

He also prayed for Allah’s protection, peace of mind, guidance, strength, and wisdom for the Chief Imam to continue to lead Muslims in the country.

“He has been giving us pieces of advice from time to time. Not just we Muslims, but the whole of Ghana. But now, it is our duty to humbly appeal to him and pray that Allah may grant him the patience needed for one to absorb whatever shocks that we may witness from this sad event,” he said.
