The purpose of the visit was to commiserate with him on the demise of his mother, who passed away in February.
The delegation also congratulated him on his appointment as a minister.
The minister, who is the Member of Parliament for the Asawase constituency, also thanked the Ameer and his delegation for the gesture.

He stated that, although his mother is no longer alive, the visit demonstrates that he has a supportive family that will advise and guide him to perform well and achieve the ministry’s mandate.
The minister outlined his plans, emphasising his commitment to digitalising the ministry’s services to make them more accessible to the public.
He called for public-private partnerships to drive his agenda forward.
He also called on the Muslim communities to come together and also contribute their quota to the development of the ministry and the nation as a whole.
Muntaka Mubarak lost his mother on February 3, 2025, on the first day of reporting to work as the newly appointed Minister of Interior.
The 83-year-old died at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti region.
