Alhaji Bature Laid to Rest

Accra – Alhaji Bature Iddrisu, a veteran journalist and the Chief Editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper was laid to rest at around 15 hours at the Madina Cemetery in Accra on Saturday, January 6, 2017.

This was after the Janaiza (funeral) prayers were observed at his family house in Nima, Accra.

The funeral was graced by family members, colleagues, politicians, friends, and loved ones who paid rapturous tributes to the veteran journalist.

The funeral ceremony was graced with dignitaries such as the Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Ibrahim Mahama, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, and Joshua Alabi.

Others present were Ras Mubarak, Bernard Mornah, Collins Dauda, Harry Zakour, Kofi Adams, Victor Smith, Nii John, KSM, Sani Daara, and Alhaji Hearts.

Alhaji Bature, a Muslim, died on Friday, January 5, 2018, at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra after a short illness.

He was an outspoken political commentator on Adom TV’s morning show, Badwam, and a member of the National Democratic Congress.
