Ghana’s deputy ambassador to Saudi Arabia passes on
Accra: Sanni Jajah, Ghana’s deputy ambassador to Saudi Arabia, has passed away in Saudi Arabia on Saturday evening.
The Muslim diplomat was a relative to Yussif Jajah, the deputy minister of tourism, creative art and culture.
Confirming the sad incident in a Facebook post, the deputy minister said, “With a heavy heart, I regret to inform you all that I have lost my nephew, SANI JAJAH, Ghana’s deputy ambassador to Saudi Arabia.”
He said further details regarding the funeral arrangements will be communicated by the family in due course.
The late diplomat was last seen on Friday, a day before he died, at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah welcoming Ghana’s team participating in the 46th King Abdulaziz International Qur’an Competition in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
Jajah was appointed on September 11, 2025, alongside 17 others by President John Mahama as diplomats to serve in various countries.
