Hajj 2025: Ghana sends team to Saudi Arabia to prepare for Ghanaian pilgrims

Accra: The Ghana Hajj Taskforce has deployed an advance team to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to finalise preparations for the upcoming pilgrimage.

This is in anticipation of about 5000 Hajj pilgrims that will arrive and participate in the 2025 annual Hajj rite.

The 17-member advance team has the task of ensuring that all logistical, operational, and administrative arrangements are in place in Makkah and Madinah ahead of the arrival of Ghanaian pilgrims.

The team comprises operational taskforce members, field officers, a medical team, IT personnel, documentation experts, welfare officers and corporate affairs representatives.

The airlift of pilgrims from Ghana is scheduled to commence on May 10, 2025, with 12 flights booked to carry Ghanaian pilgrims in Tamale and Accra.

The Ghana Hajj Taskforce said in a statement that it was committed to providing a smooth and successful pilgrimage experience for all Ghanaian pilgrims.
