Accra: The Pilgrim Affairs Office of Ghana has duly recognised 42 Hajj agents for the 2026 Hajj season.

The agents are duly accredited as members of the Hajj Agents Association of Ghana.

“The public particularly, all intending pilgrims for Hajj 2026, are strongly advised to deal only with those approved to avoid any inconveniences or fraudulent cases,” the Office stated in a statement signed by Alhaji Mohammed Amin Lamptey, the Director of Communications.

According to the statement, the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana was committed to collaboration and transparency to ensure smooth hajj operation in 2026.

Some accredited members included Abdul Karim Abass Umar of Abusua Travel and Tours, Seth Ibrahim Ayi of Duapaye Travel and Tour, Ibrahim Jafar of Labbaika Travel and Basiru Issah Danwana of Danwana Travel Agency.

The announcement comes amidst concerns about a delay in the payment of commissions due to Hajj agents for the 2025 Hajj season.

At a recent meeting to announce the hajj fare, Alhaji Abdul Rauf Ibrahim Tanko, Chairman of the Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana, pledged to sort out the agents.
