Maiden Accra Ramadan Souq opens Saturday

Accra: Preparations for the holy month of Ramadan begin in earnest as Muslim shoppers are expected to converge at the maiden edition of Accra Ramadan Souq (ARS).
The ARS event is a two-day marketplace which opens on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the National Mosque of Ghana complex, Kanda.
It brings together vendors and buyers of products and services mostly in demand during the fasting period of Ramadan.
Activities lined up for the event include an exhibition, a calligraphy class and free henna services for selected individuals.
In a publicised ad, the creative director for the event, Najat Yakubu, urged Muslim shoppers to come get value for money on discounted products that will be displayed during the exhibition.
She talked about the putting up of a charity booth where the organisers will raise funds to support the less privileged during Ramadan.
