The date was announced in the Umrah season calendar for the year 1447 AH, as part of preparations to serve international pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque arriving with Umrah visas.

The issuance of Umrah visa is scheduled to cease on Shawwal 1, 1447 AH, corresponding to Friday, March 20, 2026.

According to the calendar, all foreign Umrah pilgrims are to enter the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by Shawwal 15, 1447 AH, which corresponds to Friday, April 3, 2026.

All international pilgrims are also expected to leave the country by Dhul-Qi’dah 1, 1447 AH, which corresponds to Saturday, April 18, 2026.

The calendar consists of all the relevant information, such as agreements with foreign agents.

According to the ministry, contracts with foreign agents to define services for pilgrims must be finalised by 29 Dhul- Qi’dah 1446 AH, corresponding to May 27, 2025.

Preparations for the new Umrah season began on March 25 with the launch of the external agent qualification service via the “Nusuk” platform and the “Umrah Path” system.

Signing of agreements between Umrah companies and external agents started on April 14 during the Hajj and Umrah Services Forum 2025.

Additionally, the ministry noted that the acceptance of external agent qualification requests will end by Sha’ban 1, 1447 AH (January 20, 2026), which is also the deadline for approving their contracts with Umrah companies.

The timeline is part of the ministry’s strategic planning to ensure a smooth and well-organised Umrah season, enhancing services for pilgrims from around the world.
