Jeddah: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has approved the implementation of 25 innovative initiatives for the 2026/1447 AH Hajj season.

These initiatives, approved during the Hajj preparatory Hajj meetings which concluded on Tuesday include a new database to register volunteers for the Hajj 1447 season, the introduction of social responsibility initiatives and the launch of Saudi Buses initiative designed to improve transportation efficiency for pilgrims.

The month-long meeting sessions were held virtually, in line with the ministry’s digital transformation efforts, bringing together representatives from more than 75 countries.

The meetings formed part of the ministry’s commitment to ensuring the highest levels of organisation and coordination in serving pilgrims.

Meetings reviewed preparations for the upcoming Hajj season while outlining key regulations and guidelines to be followed.

Also addressed were requests and enquiries of Hajj offices seeking ease and reassurance for pilgrims arriving from their respective countries.

“They reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing services and streamlining Hajj procedures as part of its broader mission of serving Islam and Muslims worldwide,” Saudi Press Agency said.

The ministry emphasised that the preparatory meetings were an essential part of early planning for the Hajj season, as they fall within a set of organisational and service measures undertaken by Saudi Arabia to ensure a safe and seamless journey for pilgrims.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the ministry held more than 50 meetings with relevant authorities and Hajj offices.

Additionally, the Nusuk Massar platform also approved more than 16 companies to serve international pilgrims.

“The platform has automated service directories for over 75 countries and activated more than 189 hospitality centres for pilgrims,” the news agency reported.

Over 24 companies have also been permitted to provide services to international pilgrims, while over 11 service companies have been licensed for domestic pilgrims.
