Bibiani Gold Stars management sponsor players to perform umrah
Bibiani: Management of Ghana Premier League club, Bibiani Gold Stars has sponsored six footballers and a technical team member to perform umrah,a minor pilgrimage performed in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The gesture was in fulfillment of a promise made to the Muslim players who helped the club win the Ghana Premier League in the 2024/2025 season.
Beneficiaries successfully completed their Umrah, the club announced on Facebook.
The contingent included Mohammed Raphic, Team Physical Trainer; Yakubu Haqq, Club Captain; Vincent Atinga, Vice-Captain; Rafaui Ibrahim, a midfielder; Humin Dafie Mohammed, a midfielder; and Abdul Farouk Amoaful, a forward.
The contingent touched down in Ghana on Saturday and are immediately expected to rejoin the squad to prepare for an upcoming CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against JS Kabylie on Saturday September 20, 2025 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Bibiani Gold Stars FC is currently top of the premier league table with 3 points after playing its first round of matches.
Last season, they won the Ghana Premier League with 63 points after playing 34 matches.
