Accra: Dreams FC, a Ghana Premier League (GPL) club, has announced the transfer of the Ghanaian football prodigy Abdul Aziz Issah to Spanish football giant Barcelona FC.

The deal was finalised on transfer deadline day, the Ghanaian club said via its X platform handle.

Issah, the 18-year-old winger, is an outstanding young African football talent, touted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as a top emerging player.

Last season, he performed creditably to score four goals and provide two assists in 10 matches, helping Dreams FC reach the semi-final stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

In the GPL, he contributed to 17 goals, scoring seven and assisting ten, showcasing his ability to both score and set up teammates to find the net.

During the FA Cup, he scored four goals in five games, proving his consistency across different competitions.

At the international level, Issah was instrumental in helping Ghana’s Under-20 team win gold at the African Games.

Issah’s journey with Dreams FC began at a young age, progressing through the club’s youth ranks and spending time at Still Believe and In God We Trust FC.

At Barcelona, he is expected to start with Barça Athletic, the club’s reserve team in the Primera Federación—Group 1, which is Spain’s third tier.

There could be opportunities for him to join the first team if he catches the eye of manager Hansi Flick.

Issah is the second Ghanaian player to join Barcelona this summer, following the signing of left-back David Oduro.
