Ghana’s Shia leaders sign book of condolence at Iranian Embassy for late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Accra: Leaders of the Shia Muslim community in Ghana have visited the Iranian Embassy in Accra to sign a book of condolence in honour of the late Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei.

The delegation was led by Abubakar Kamaludeen, the Shia national Imam and included several prominent Islamic scholars and clerics.

Among them were the Deputy Shia National Imam, Ibrahim Issah Bansi; President of Majma Ahlil Bayt–Ghana, Muhammad Abu Jaaja; as well as clerics Shaban Abass Konda, Sullaiman Bandago, Nuhu Bandago, and Abdul Rahim Bandago, together with other members of the Council of Ulama.

During the visit, the clerics solemnly signed the book of condolence opened by the Iranian diplomatic mission, expressing sympathy to the government and people of Iran over the passing of Ayatollah Khamenei.

The late Iranian leader was an influential figure whose leadership had a profound impact on the Muslim world.

The visit also served as a demonstration of solidarity between Ghana’s Shia Muslim community and their counterparts in Iran.

The gathering was marked by expressions of sorrow and reflection, with clerics emphasizing the importance of unity and mutual support within the global Shia community during periods of mourning.
