Sarki Salisu Maude appointed Board Chair of Zongo Development Fund

Accra: Julius Debrah, the Chief of Staff, Office of the President, has, on behalf of President John Mahama, sworn into office an eleven-member Governing Board of the Zongo Development Fund (ZoDF).
He administered the Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy at the Jubilee House on September 19, 2025, and charged the board to work diligently to implement the directives of the President towards enhancing development in the Zongos.
The ZoDF is the frontline agency and vehicle through which the government of Ghana seeks to ensure the accelerated development of Zongo Communities.
Sarki Alhaji Salisu Maude, an accomplished entrepreneur and philanthropist, thanked the President for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to bring their expertise to bear towards achieving their mandate.
Other members of the board included Alhaji Halidu Haruna as Chief Executive Officer of the fund; Nelly Mireku, Ministry of Finance; Ahmed Mohammed, representing the Zongo and Inner Cities Development Secretariat; and Konguwura Adamu Seidu Jinkurige from the National House of Chiefs.
The rest are Osumanu Seidu, Office of the National Chief Imam; Chief Suntaaba Mohammed Ibrahim, National Council of Muslim Chiefs; Reverend Dr Cyril Gershon Fayose Kwao, a representative from the Christian Council of Ghana; Hajia Sherifatu Sulley and Osman Abdullah.
