Also in attendance were the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ho, Stephen Adom, and heads of the various security agencies within the municipality, who collectively pledged their support to the new Regional Chief Imam in promoting security and social harmony.
Speaking on behalf of the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, Togbe Kasa III, the Dufia of Ho-Ahoe, commended the National Chief Imam for officially introducing the new Regional Chief Imam to the traditional authorities.
He emphasised that, following the formal introduction, there should be a “ceasefire” among any existing factions within the Muslim community and urged all parties to unite and work together for the peace, cohesion, and development of the Volta Region.
He urged the Zango community to accord Alhaji Muniru the respect of the regional chief imam and work with him in harmony for the progress of the community, Asogli, and the Volta Region.
“By this endorsement of the National Chief Imam, we have only one Chief Imam in the Volta Region,” he said.
Togbe Kasa further called on both religious and traditional leaders to deepen collaboration in addressing social and developmental challenges, stressing that peace and mutual respect are vital for progress.

The Dufia gave an assurance that the chiefs of Asogli would support him to discharge his duties diligently for the sake of peace and progress in Asogli.

In his remarks, the National Chief Imam expressed gratitude to the Asogli State for their warm reception and reaffirmed his office’s commitment to promoting unity between traditional and religious institutions nationwide.
