Jordan Ayew reaches out to Liberian Muslim orphans

Accra: Jordan Ayew, the captain of the Black Stars and the Leicester City forward, has, through his humanitarian foundation, donated to orphanages in Liberia catering to Muslim children.
The foundation, which has been operating in Liberia, Ghana, and other parts of Africa, provided essential food items and prayer materials to support the Liberian Muslim community during the Ramadan sacred period.
Items donated included 70 bags of rice, 50 mattresses, prayer mats, Islamic literature, and other food supplies to support the Muslim community.

The foundation’s team, which included Joel Toe, Clarence Lee Chea, and Melvin George, visited multiple locations, including communities in Samuka Town, Caldwell, and the Barnerville community near Monrovia.

The donation took place after the Black Stars, Ghana’s senior football national team captained by Jordan Ayew, had a successful outing in the World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

Ghana had a back-to-back win, with the 33-year-old scoring a goal and providing four assists in the two matches.
He has so far scored 28 goals for the national team.
The sixth all-time goal scorer for Ghana is also the joint top scorer in the CAF FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers with 5 goals.
